Marketing Internship 2019

General Building Contractors Association 

This summer I had an internship at the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) in the marketing department. The GBCA is a trade association for the construction industry. I learned about an industry I was unfamiliar with and was exposed to a variety of marketing techniques. â€‹Click the title to be brought to the GBCA website!


Here are some of the main projects I worked on at the GBCA.

  • Construction Today Magazine

  • Selected and coordinated speakers for the National Conference 

  • Membership Directory Index 

  • Planned and wrote safety campaign e-blasts

Construction Today Magazine

The first pages are a highlight of events and I helped edit the descriptions and pick the pictures. I was able to write an article for their magazine. The article highlights a project done by one of the GBCA's member contractors.

E-Blasts

I got to write up a few e-blasts for the different safety campaigns. The blasts were made using Constant Contact and were sent to all the members.
